While Sweet Georgia Sound is celebrating it's 22nd year in 2016 we can actually trace our roots to 3 years earlier with the formation of the MidSouth Symphonic Band (then MidSouth Concert Band). This Sunday they are celebrating their 25th Anniversary with a concert at 3 PM at the Ringgold High Performing Arts Center. An excellent program is planned, hope to see you there. ...

The Mid-South Symphonic Band will celebrate its 25th anniversary season with a concert. The concert will be on May 15th, 2016 at 3 pm at the Ringgold High School Performing Arts Center, 28 Tiger Trail, Ringgold, GA. The concert is family friendly and open to the public, free of charge. Donations are welcome. The band will perform a patriotic concert featuring a new composition by Kenyon Wilson composed in honor of the Sailor and four Marines killed in the July 2015 Chattanooga shooting. The Mid-South Symphonic Band is comprised of 75 musicians from the greater Chattanooga area who perform under the direction of Jim Souders. This all volunteer organization includes musicians from diverse backgrounds who enjoy sharing their talents with each other and with the community.
